About Us
Don't ever tell Lisa Barron and Sherry Welch something can't be done. That
just is not in their nature. They truly took the definition of competitor
to a new level and in doing broke the mold in forming a powerhouse real
estate team at Crye-Leike Realtors.
The two met several years ago working side-by-side, but for separate companies, in a new neighborhood development. Even though they were technically "competitors", they decided to work under one sales "roof" with the attitude of providing a high level of service to market and enhance the success of the entire community.
Instinctually, they both knew selling the community and its benefits, would enhance the success of their builders. Many people in the industry said it would never work having two competing companies and agents working side by side combining their resources and talents. Yet, the venture proved to be extremely successful. Little did they know it would provide the foundation for their current thriving business.
In 2005, after working together for two years, Lisa and Sherry decided to join forces to offer an even stronger level of service for their clients. Even more dynamic than the partnership they formed is the business model they have developed. BarronWelch Real Estate Services represents more than a dozen new home builders in various new construction communities throughout Davidson, Marshall, Maury and Williamson County. Their dynamic partnership has created a unique approach in bringing comprehensive resources which benefit builders, homebuyers and sellers.
The builders appreciate the level of service BarronWelch offers and know their number one goal is to increase their business. The team provides an on- site specialist in their neighborhoods to help meet the immediate needs of homebuyers and in securing sales. If a buyer doesn’t find the home he or she is looking for in a particular community, specialists for BarronWelch Real Estate Services can refer them to one of their other communities. This unique concept has made it possible for them to average selling over 25% of their own listings.
Both know real estate is much more than just selling homes and strongly feel they are representatives of their neighborhoods and the communities they represent. Even though technology is an important part of their daily lives, they still find an old fashion hand shake and one-on-one conversation is still very important.
New construction, on-site sales represent only one facet of this multi-talented team. Their impressive resources include members who focus on buyers, listings, open houses, on-site new construction, land acquisition and development, marketing and home design consultation. Lisa and Sherry know the importance of matching a client's need with a team member's expertise to ensure the highest level of knowledge and service.
Whether helping a family in selling a home or assisting buyers to purchase an existing home, the team has the experience to help with any real estate need. With over 75 years of real estate experience represented within the group, they provide valuable resources to assist buyers and sellers of existing homes
This level of knowledge and expertise is the backbone of their team. Lisa, a self-proclaimed second generation REALTOR®, practically grew up in the business, learning from her father, Jim DeHart, a long-time broker associate in the Middle Tennessee area. Sherry has held her real estate license since moving to the area 15 years ago. Each has been recognized for individual production and for their leadership in organizations in this industry.
They both know the importance of affiliating with the best in the business. Lisa and Sherry are proud to call Crye-Leike, REALTORS their professional home. Lisa has been with the industry-leading firm for 11 years. Sherry joined Crye-Leike when she partnered with Lisa in 2005. Both find Crye-Leike unsurpassed in their industry and invaluable to their partnership.
The consummate resources offered by Crye-Leike, the experience of the Barron Welch team members and dedication to the builders, buyers and sellers they represent, helped them close more than 190 transactions in 2006. This phenomenal production by the team puts them among the elite of virtually any REALTOR team in the region.
Even though real estate is important, Barron Welch Real Estate Services work to improve their community through volunteerism and involvement. This community support was recently shown by the team's sponsorship of the annual fundraising event for Youth Encouragement Services (YES), a non-profit agency providing assistance to inner-city youth. They also sponsor a Williamson County Girls soccer team.
Great teams don't just happen. They are the result of hard work, dedication and chemistry. Perhaps the mold for real estate teams needs to be recast because Lisa Barron and Sherry Welch have broken the mold and continue to raise the bar towards a new standard of success.
